
According to a study published recently in the authoritative journal Archives of Internal medicine, people with chronic low back pain, the common back pain, received greater benefit from acupuncture, real or simulated, compared to those treated only with conventional treatments.
The study was carried out on a large number of adult patients, 600 who had never been subjected to acupuncture in the past divided into four groups.
